- Experience: Chrome/Edge v93 causes “jumps” when selecting options
- Current Status: Ongoing

Following Google’s update of their Chromium engine in browsers from version 92 to 93 as part of our regular testing, we have identified that it has introduced an anomalous behaviour on websites.
Users on our platform will notice that selecting an option that reveals more questions will jump to the last revealed question. This requires the user to scroll back up the page to the original question.
For users of the Covid vaccination service, we have verified that this is not as a result of the latest template changes also made over this weekend.
This does not affect the saving of a record and all assurances are in place for data.
We have identified that this anomalous behaviour does not affect Firefox or Safari; the browsers we have identified that it affects are Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Checking your version will trigger an immediate update if you are configured to automatically update.
We recognise that this is inconvenient and will slow down workflow. Our engineers are working to attempt a mitigation as soon as possible and we will inform you if a solution can be found before an update by Google occurs.

The release of the next minor version of Google’s Chromium engine has not resolved this.
